The Best Padel Courts in Barbados

Padel is the fastest growing racquet sport in the world and the padel wave has now reached Barbados. Over the past two years the island has gone from zero dedicated courts to a handful of excellent venues spread across the West coast, with more on the way. Whether you are a serious player travelling with your kit or a curious newcomer looking for a fun afternoon on court, there is now a real choice of where to play.

Here is our pick of the best padel courts in Barbados, from the easiest to access to the most exclusive.

1. Courtside, Holetown

The most accessible padel venue on the island and the place we point most guests towards first. Courtside is a new multi-sport complex in the heart of Holetown with padel courts alongside pickleball and tennis. The setup is modern, the surfacing is good and the booking process is straightforward.

What lifts it above a pure sports facility is the social side. There is a cafe and bar on site, so you can warm up over coffee, play a couple of sets and stay for a drink. It works equally well for a solo session with new doubles partners or for a group of friends making a morning of it.

Open daily from 7am to 9pm. No membership required.

2. Sugar Hill

The Sugar Hill estate completed its two new state-of-the-art padel courts in late 2025, and they have quickly become one of the most popular places to play on the West coast. The courts sit within the wider Sugar Hill resort alongside four floodlit tennis courts, a clubhouse, restaurant and two communal pools.

The courts are available for rent to the general public and Sugar Hill guests. Padel courts at Sugar Hill can be rented for $100 BBD per hour. Also there is the option to head to The Deck restaurant for drinks and a bite after a game where players enjoy can special offer promotions running throughout the year.

If you are travelling with mixed interests in your group (tennis, padel, pool time, restaurant on site), Sugar Hill is hard to beat.

3. Paradise Padel Club

Up in Saint Peter, near Haymans, Paradise Padel Club is the island’s newest addition. There doesn’t appear to be a dedicated clubhouse, but you can book games and collect racquets at the new gym next door.

4. Royal Westmoreland (Members Only)

Royal Westmoreland’s two padel courts are tucked into the estate alongside its tennis facilities, set within the wider 800-acre golf resort. Open daily from 7am to 9pm, with reservations made through the golf pro shop. Equipment is available for hire or purchase, which makes life easier if you are not travelling with your own racquet.

The catch is access. The padel courts at Royal Westmoreland are reserved for residents and rental guests staying in a villa that holds either a Social or Full Membership. Properties at Royal Westmoreland are sold with one of three membership tiers, and only Social and Full grant access to the racquet sports facilities. If you are renting at Royal Westmoreland and racquet sports matter to you, check the membership tier of the specific property before you book.

5. Sandy Lane (Hotel Guests Only)

Sandy Lane has gone in hard on padel, with four dedicated floodlit courts surfaced in AGILE Turf, one of the premium playing surfaces used at high-end clubs internationally. The courts are part of a full tennis and racquet complex with loaner racquets, stringing, grip services, children’s nets, and progressively sized balls, which makes it genuinely friendly for families and for guests who turn up without gear.

Floodlights mean evening play is on the table, which is a real luxury given how warm midday can get on the west coast. The catch, predictably, is that the courts are reserved for guests of the hotel. If you are not staying at Sandy Lane itself you will not be playing there.
